A lot of people crave positions of power, but only a few are truly suited for that kind of leadership. Power has a way of revealing—and sometimes distorting—who we really are, especially if we step into it without clear, honest intentions. If you feel the pull to take charge or rise to the top, it’s worth pausing to reflect on your deepest motivation. Just because we might see solutions more clearly than others doesn’t automatically mean we’re the right ones to lead. Maybe we are—but the real question is: Do we have the strength and integrity to lead for the collective good, rather than for our own desires or ego? Before making moves and taking control, make sure you can answer that honestly.
