Reversed Hierophant and Reversed King of Cups…
Reflecting on our life experiences can be challenging—especially when we begin to see just how many pivotal moments were shaped by being misled, manipulated, or disappointed by those we loved and trusted most. It’s particularly painful when we realize that some of these people had the power to enrich our world, but instead chose to harm or diminish it. These experiences leave lasting marks on us, shaping our identity in subtle and profound ways.
But today offers an opportunity for something different—radical forgiveness. Begin by making a list of those who hurt you the most. Rather than revisiting those memories with anger or sorrow, write each person a letter of thanks. Thank them for the unintended lessons: for showing you who you don’t want to become, how you choose not to behave, and what you now know you are capable of rising above.
Close each letter with the words: “With radical forgiveness and deep gratitude,” followed by your name. You can choose what to do with these letters—keep them, burn them, or simply let them be. Let the act of writing be a doorway to clarity, healing, and the quiet power of release.
“Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.”— Paul Boese
