The Hierophant…

On Day 6—the final day of what I call “the magic days”—I asked my deck a simple but powerful question: What will be the overarching theme of 2026? The answer arrived in the form of a commanding card: The Hierophant.

I’ll be honest—when I first began studying Tarot, the Hierophant was my least favorite card. He felt impossibly distant to me. Whenever he appeared, it was as though an impenetrable figure was staring back, almost daring me to understand him. The Hierophant asks us to study more deeply, clarify our values, and establish the structures that allow for spiritual growth. And yet… he often feels unwelcoming.

In the Light Seer’s Tarot, however, the Hierophant tells a different story. The artist beautifully flips the script. While he still calls for structure, dedication, and devotion, he also extends an invitation to elevation, community, and harmony.

In 2026, we are being offered the chance to rise higher—and to do so with focused joy. The key lies in our shared commitment to expanding community, along with a deep resolve to grow creatively and spiritually.
