Check in each day for a little bit of magic…
Card of the Day
The Fool
The Fool from The Sacred Rose Tarot Deck
This card keeps appearing as a “Card of the Day” for us! Today, I pulled 3 cards and had my client pick which card called to her as our“Card of the Day” and she went with The Fool. When I asked her why she picked him over the other options, she simply said, “Because he does not give a @#$#!!!”. I was definitely cracking up, but she’s right. We spend so much of our precious time thinking, feeling, worrying, planning, doing and it just goes on and on. Especially in this super intense pandemic atmosphere - everything is heightened. Take a moment today to just not “give a @#$#!!!” You are allowed, every so often, to not think, feel, worry, plan and do. Sometimes what you really need is to be carefree. Take at least a few moments today to check out - you’ve earned it and The Fool wants you to.
The Nine of Pentacles
The 9 of Pentacles
This card repeated in a reading today on so many levels and it was magical. You have achieved a certain place in the world and now it’s time to relish in that self-confidence. Bring to the surface that which makes you shine on the inside. You are strong, independent and stunning. Take a moment to relish the richness of life you deserve. Don’t be afraid to own your spirit. You earned it and the world around you will benefit if you do!
The Devil
The Devil Card from the Light Seer’s Tarot Deck
Ok…let’s talk about the reality of this card and what it can mean if it comes up for you in a spread or, in this case, for the day. People freak out at the sight of this one, but I think it’s super exciting. Often it represents an aspect of yourself that is drawn to destructive behavior. More often it represents a person - that charming, fun and oh so dangerous soul that you just cannot say no to. Too much of that person can lead to devastation and they just keep coming back. Either way, there are lessons to be learned - BIG lessons on how to set boundaries and make major changes in your life to remove toxic elements. Sometimes, this card comes up and encourages you to explore your own dark and wild side. Personal growth CAN involve juicy naughtiness. Either you are expelling this demon or exploring this demon….you decide! Have fun…but remember that it is possible to have too much of a “good” thing. Oh, that Devil…so inviting.
The Ten of Cups
The Ten of Cups from The Morgan Greer Deck
The image I love most on the Ten of Cups has always been that rainbow. It’s apparent that this card signifies joy and harmony in personal and familial relationships. When it pops up in a reading upright, it carries with it a magical feeling of hitting the universal jackpot reminding you that you can achieve complete fulfillment in areas of the heart. But, today a rainbow represents so much more - unity, hope, peace, inclusion - it is a celebration of diversity and understanding! Take a moment today to reflect on the relationships in your life that bring you joy and fulfillment and the understanding that we are all deserving of such love. Allow this love to transform who you are in ways you never thought possible. Rejoice under the rainbow of humanity!
And, if you have your doubts that you may never be able to dance under that rainbow…do NOT give up or give in…just keep moving toward that rainbow. Here’s a token of wisdom from Dolly…

So, I’m shuffling the cards to pull our card of the day and this beauty literally flies out and lands in my lap, upright and smiling at me. I take this personally - as I know the universe is giving me that extra nudge to step into new, creative ideas I have been pushing aside. Friends, it’s time to accept that challenge from the universe. Embrace your inner passion and start working toward your true, creative calling. If you have been like me and ignoring your drive and creative impulses - NO MORE! “Opportunity is not a lengthy visitor” (Thank you, Mr. Sondheim). Seize the day and start moving forward. Let your ideas and impulses take flight. Personal growth is assured!
The Eight of Pentacles
The Eight of Pentacles from The Light Seer’s Tarot Deck
Today, because I’m visiting my parents in NJ, I asked my father to pull the card of the day. I can’t think of a more appropriate card for my father. He has worked so hard his whole life for everything that he has and in support of our family! This truly is a card about hard work paying off and bringing forth the fruits of your labor! Maybe you are just starting a new path and beginning to learn a new craft that you hope will deliver a better, more secure lifestyle down the line? If you devote yourself to putting in the amount of work and study it takes to master it, you can achieve the security you long for! Keep at it. Knowledge and mastery are key, but doing the work is EVERYTHING!!!

Take a moment today to examine your finances with fresh eyes - draw up a personal budget and take a look at your savings. I know this can sometimes be a scary activity, but if you approach it with curiosity and openness, now is a great time to see what is there and what you might need to do to start saving for personal goals! As you examine what is truly there, think up new ways of putting small amounts aside for yourself. Start growing a little cushion for future adventures and down the line the things you dream of may manifest. See if you can make saving fun!

The Hermit Reversed
The Hermit (Reversed) from the Lo Scarabeo Tarot
Isolation is the theme of 2020. Although we are slowly reopening small aspects of our everyday life, many of us still feel very, very cut off from the rest of the world and alone. If you are experiencing sadness and withdrawal in a way that is really affecting your spirit, it may be time for you to step out into the light a little bit. Who are the supportive influences in your world that you can reach out to? Family and friends are missing you. Think about all of the safe ways you can start to reconnect in a meaningful manner. The people in your own circle may benefit from the words of wisdom that you have to share about your own experience in isolation. The world longs for your light - do not hide it away forever.
The Fool
Dreaming of a new journey? I absolutely LOVE when I have a specific question on my mind and a definite energy brewing in my bones and then I ask the deck and receive the purest and most specific sign of affirmation! That is what happened to me today with this card. Hoping this resonates for you as it has for me. Open the window to your subconscious, trust your new ideas and those fresh sparks of inspiration that are trying to burst out. Take at least one small step into your new journey today - just one, but do it with optimism and openheartedness. You are at the start of something unknown. Make that leap and trust that some kind of net will appear. Trust wholeheartedly. One step at a time, my friend!
For my performer friends, The Fool would definitely approach life this way:

Take a moment to sit and feel gratitude for the emotional health and happiness that you have at your fingertips. We all face obstacles, but to feel gratitude helps illuminate the joyful abundance you possess, that you might not have noticed. Celebrate all of your heartfelt intuitive decision making that has led you to this place. Embrace the Zen and take stock of the love in your life. You cannot stay here forever, but allow the love and emotional flow in your life guide you into your future.
The Ten of Swords
The Ten of Swords
This may be a tough sword to swallow on a relaxing Sunday afternoon (pun intended). You feel like you have reached the end of something very painful. Perhaps you feel deceived or attacked by words/thoughts. Are they the words/thoughts of someone else? Or are they your own? Pain can be good. Face it with acceptance, but don’t play the victim in this moment. There is true wisdom to be gained if you truly study the pain you are feeling. Use the knowledge you gain from self-reflection to release this pain and move forward to your own rebirth. This is hard, I know. You can do this.

Do something playful today - explore and dream up new ideas and possibilities. This is the first step to reigniting your personal spark. Approach everything you do with curiosity and wonder. Let your imagination run wild and your heart sing. You may find opportunities appear because of your change in perspective!

The message is clear - it’s time to move and take action! You have examined all of the possibilities and taken stock of all of your resources and now, it’s time for quick forward motion. This may feel frenzied, supercharged and dangerous, but the time is now. AND, if you want to make it to the top of that mountain, you’ve got to move fast. Don’t resist, jump into the wind and fly!
Temperance
The Temperance Card from The Sacred Rose Tarot Deck
Today’s card was pulled more as an intention for the world. What do we all need to heal and advance on this planet together? When I flipped this one over, it felt magical, indeed. This angel is sent to us as a reminder of coming together - a blending of souls and spirits, that might feel dangerous, but will produce the ease, flow and happiness we all deserve.
In this particular deck, the angel reminds me of the holiday season, for obvious reasons. I am, myself, born of this season, so I feel a great deal of kinship with the spirit of the holidays. Though we all may celebrate different belief systems, there is unity in our collective desires for this particular season - togetherness, giving and charitable spirit, joyful celebration honoring our loved ones, rebirth, warmth, hope, optimism and the eventually slowing down to appreciate the abundance of our lives and the richness of the people that love and inspire us.
This angel promises ease, flow, balance and growth. They are asking us to find these elements within ourselves and share what we find with others. They shroud you with love and optimism, if you make choices that are sharing and charitable with others. Let us all put this energy out into the world and see what comes in return…shall we?
Also, you can start by doing the smallest of things…wear a mask…not for you, but for others! :)

Money and worldly growth!!! I know you are tired from the hard work and struggle, but you have produced abundantly, my friend! Take a moment to rest and be content with the fruits of your labor. Sometimes hard work DOES pay off. You may feel exhausted, but you should feel proud. Stay the course, if you are currently in the midst of a financial venture - it will grow.
The Two of Wands
The Two of Wands from The Light Seer’s Tarot Deck
We are all at a moment of uncertainty. Last night’s New Moon in Cancer has probably got you feeling a little bit vulnerable. It’s ok to be unsure. Take this moment to connect deeply with the possibilities that are out there for you. Start planning for the future - you don’t have to make a move just yet - but if you gently align your spirit with the idea of moving forward into the abyss, you will gain a greater understanding of what you truly need to grow. It may not seem like it now, but a New Moon beckons you to tap into your pure potential and start fresh. Ponder what this may mean to you. Dream up a path and hatch your plan - you’ll know when it is the right time to take that first step.
The Ace of Cups
The Ace of Cups from The Robin Wood Tarot Deck
Even though we pulled this card last week, it magically repeats for us today! Each time you pull a card, there is always a new message to be explored - look deeper. You hold within you a wealth of emotion and love - a sacred heart which you can choose to hide away or share with the world. What incredible stories are you keeping close to your heart? The Ace of Cups would urge you to let them spill out into the world - to share your inner wealth and your deepest desires. You never know what new endeavor or relationship may grow and blossom from this! Trust in your emotional life and dreams and share openly. Open the floodgates.
The Three of Swords
The Three of Swords from the Dark Wood Tarot Deck by Sasha Graham
Are you feeling the pain of words and thoughts? If not the words of others, perhaps the words in your own mind? You are letting these fleeting ideas cut you to the core. This particular deck, The Dark Wood Tarot, would urge you to explore your deepest wounds and connect to them even though it feels dangerous. Pain can motivate. Don’t hold onto this pain, allow it to inform who you are and how to move forward. Thoughts and words are fleeting…take action and turn that wound into something delicious and beautiful.
