I have been longing for a new, modern deck that reflects the beautiful diversity of our times and after much research, I’ve decided The Light Seer’s Deck really spoke to me. It’s arrived!!! Joyful day. So, I pulled our card of the day this morning from my magical new deck, not realizing that I “accidentally” pulled two cards. “Accidentally” in quotes because I believe there are no accidents when you are pulling cards. If the card wants to be seen, it will find a way to pop out at you. Six of Wands - beautiful! But there, just behind it was our old friend….the Devil. Ugh! He just keeps coming back. I knew exactly what it meant to me, but since I pulled this for all of us, I have a few questions for you… What is keeping you from being present in every moment in celebration of yourself? Is it a voice in your head that will not allow you to truly honor your authentic self? Is it a person’s opinions of who you are that are holding you back from self-love? Is it a destructive behavior that you just cannot shake? Maybe it’s a destructive person that you just cannot shake? I think you deserve to be celebrated for every piece of who you are. Cut the chains that hold you back from recognizing your own glorious, imperfect beauty. You are needed and loved in this world. Let yourself be honored and celebrated.

I was feeling a little dark today, so I decided to pull from my Dark Wood Deck which is a new deck from my dear friend, Sasha Graham. The guide to this deck says on the back “Welcome to the Dark Wood…Where getting lost helps you find yourself”. Sometimes its necessary to travel to dark places in order to find the light. This card lures us to examine giving, sharing and growing in a different way. What memories do you have of dependency? Your needs early in life and how and why they were met have shaped how you choose to move through your life day by day, whether you recognize it or not. Maybe it’s time to recognize it and connect to some of the hidden pools of your personality that have formed how you engage in reciprocity today. A deeper sense of your core desires when dealing with others will help you take flight. Go deep.

It IS possible to take on too too much. Yes, you are strong and capable, but why not lighten your load a little bit? Examine that daily/weekly/monthly TO DO list and see what is essential. Also, take a look at the burdens being placed on you by others - work, relationships, family, friends etc. Is there any way to consolidate or streamline? Anything on your list that can wait for the moment? Figuring out how to accomplish things on your list efficiently and with less struggle will only help you in the long run. Pull back a bit on that self-inflicted work load!!! You will feel even more motivated if you do!

This card keeps appearing as a “Card of the Day” for us! Today, I pulled 3 cards and had my client pick which card called to her as our“Card of the Day” and she went with The Fool. When I asked her why she picked him over the other options, she simply said, “Because he does not give a @#$#!!!”. I was definitely cracking up, but she’s right. We spend so much of our precious time thinking, feeling, worrying, planning, doing and it just goes on and on. Especially in this super intense pandemic atmosphere - everything is heightened. Take a moment today to just not “give a @#$#!!!” You are allowed, every so often, to not think, feel, worry, plan and do. Sometimes what you really need is to be carefree. Take at least a few moments today to check out - you’ve earned it and The Fool wants you to.

Ok…let’s talk about the reality of this card and what it can mean if it comes up for you in a spread or, in this case, for the day. People freak out at the sight of this one, but I think it’s super exciting. Often it represents an aspect of yourself that is drawn to destructive behavior. More often it represents a person - that charming, fun and oh so dangerous soul that you just cannot say no to. Too much of that person can lead to devastation and they just keep coming back. Either way, there are lessons to be learned - BIG lessons on how to set boundaries and make major changes in your life to remove toxic elements. Sometimes, this card comes up and encourages you to explore your own dark and wild side. Personal growth CAN involve juicy naughtiness. Either you are expelling this demon or exploring this demon….you decide! Have fun…but remember that it is possible to have too much of a “good” thing. Oh, that Devil…so inviting.
