Card of the Day
Seven of Cups…
Life is constantly presenting you with options - so, what’s your poison? Funny, that phrase…the allure of excitement and thrill can be toxic, so be careful when making important decisions. BUT, it’s ok to try it all out, within reason. Otherwise, how will you even know what is right for you and what isn’t? If you are feeling overwhelmed by what you suddenly have in front of you, take a sip and see how it tastes and feels. If an unsettling dizziness hits you - it might not be your path. If it’s too bitter or too sweet, you’ll know right away. If it fills you with confidence and joy - keep drinking. Trust your instincts, but don’t wait too long to find out. Life can be a party after all, but how you feel the morning after is in your hands. You have to be willing to drink it all in to find out and keep in mind that a party doesn’t last forever.
“But life is just a party and parties weren’t meant to last.” - Prince

Ace of Cups…
Often, we wait for opportunity to appear - hoping for that next big chance to be handed to us from the universe - a chance that will change our lives. But, don’t lose sight of what you may already have. In the deep waters of your spirit, there is a rich sunken treasure of dreams longing to bubble up to the surface. What exists in that cup that you hold so close to your heart? Sift through the jewels that you store there and you may find that precious essence or idea that could shift your path in an adventurous direction. Dive in, grab that gemstone and swim to the surface with it. Don’t hide the most sacred parts of who you are from the world - use them to illuminate your own destiny. Your existence presents you with opportunity every single day, because possibility dwells within.

The Five of Swords - Reversed…
Theme of the week - let go of old wounds. You have mastered the art of forgive and never forget. But, what do you stand to gain by holding onto a conflict that no longer exists? We all feel the pain when things do not go our way or someone we love and respect makes a choice that lets us down. Life isn’t always fair and people can be deceiving and self-serving. But, an old wound that doesn’t heal can become a target - a soft spot, so to speak. When you are triggered in this way, your recall of that trauma will only allow others to take further advantage of you. I know it’s hard, but it’s time to examine all the pain you’ve been holding onto and let some of it go - that’s right, forget it! Easier said than done, so figure it out this week - how can you release a few past scars? I’m going to whisper mine to the wind at dusk and let the universe take them into the heavens…

The Six Of Cups…
To truly experience all of the colors that love has to offer you, you must be open to them without judgement or fear. Passion is embedded in the word compassion and I believe this suggests the more you show understanding and empathy others, the more deeply you will be able to feel and express the full spectrum of that stunning rainbow. As you meet new people this weekend, leave your own preconceived notions behind. Embrace them with a free spirited love and offer them the chance to blossom alongside you. Practice openness through curiosity and see how genuinely this enriches your interactions and allows for you to be even more authentic. Love is everywhere and comes to you in so many forms and you have to be unencumbered by your own biases to share in the thrilling adventure of it. Fly out of the dark and into that glorious rainbow!

Nine of Swords - Reversed…
This weekend it’s best to let go of those dark thoughts that have been haunting you. You have let your worries overtake you by developing a fixation with the negative. It’s seeped into all areas of your life and is even keeping you up at night. Release yourself from this torture. Worries aren’t tangible. The Story you weave in your head is just a story. If you can do something about the situation to ease the headache of it, do it! If you cannot, accept it for what it is and move on. Imagine that you are on a raft in the middle of a beautiful infinity pool, just relaxing on the perfect summer day. Allow those thoughts to float away from you and drift over the edge into nothingness. Smile and wave as they go. Then, this weekend, live on your raft in peace, knowing that anything that floats toward you can and will be sucked away if you like… You deserve freedom from the prison of your mind. You deserve sunshine and relaxation!

Chariot…
You are ready to launch. You can feel it, right? Things are moving quickly, you have been picking up speed and harnessing your strength and determination. It may feel fast and frantic, but the balance and grounding you have acquired to this point is going to help as you are propelled with fire and confidence. Embrace the forward motion that is pulling you toward your destiny. Trust your instincts and lead with your gut. You are leading this charge. Let those wild horses run free and feel the power of the universe fueling your path.

Eight Of Cups - Reversed…
Caught in the idea that there are greener pastures, but you aren’t sure if you should try to find them? Are you hovering above it all, slightly detached, feeling content, but not fulfilled? It’s easy to give in to complacency and just float through life autonomously neutral, being touched by the light of the sun and the moon and never experiencing the burn. But, is this what you truly want? What if you went out on a limb and let all of your emotional resistance rain down, releasing you from this hold? What is the worst that could happen? What is the BEST that could happen? What have you got to lose? Imagine yourself floating down from that safe, easiness into the vibrant blanket of that green, green grass. It may jar you for a moment when you hit the ground, but then there is so much color and texture to be explored! Trust your instincts, release your emotions and take a chance on yourself and the world.

Page of Swords - Reversed…
You have been dreaming, exploring, growing and expanding in your own ideas of what you want and who you would like to be. You have even been openly sharing with others some of the changes you intend to make. This has all been quite a thoughtful exploration and you now have some really intriguing schemes for your future. But, what are you waiting for?!? It’s time to make all of this your reality. Do you want to be known as the person that thought they could or the person that DID? Tonight - chart out your plan of attack. Take at least an hour away from all distractions with pen and paper and map out your battle plan to move forward with all of these objectives you envision step by step. As you are writing, imagine that your pen is a sword and that what you etch onto the page is absolutely non-negotiable. Put that list under your pillow and dream that you are a warrior, wild and unafraid. When you wake up in the morning, examine your list again to look for obstacles. Write down all of the obstacles that might arise in bubbles all around your list and with your mighty pen/sword put a big X through each one. Now that you are clear in what you are fighting for and how to get it, defend what you want by DOING that very first step on your list with fierce abandon and don’t stop DOING until you’ve realized your goals.

The Ten of Swords…
Starting the week feeling like you are at the end of something? There’s a kind of heaviness and exhaustion settling in and a disappointment which you cannot put into words. Sometimes these feelings appear uninvited and without any warning. Sometimes it’s impossible to even put a name to the haunting knowledge that the end of something is near. Grief should be expressed, even if you can’t quite tell yet what you are grieving. Give your spirit a chance to mourn, but recognize that this sense of hopelessness can signal the advent of a new era of who you will become. This strange surrender is just a shedding of the pieces of you that are no longer necessary. If you allow them to peel away, tomorrow you will feel the light of the universe more fervently than ever before. Let go, lament (if you need to) and be ready to welcome the dawning of new day.

A Father’s Day Message…
Whether you have an awesome Dad, Uncle, Brother, Grandfather, Dad-like-Person or Dad-like-Mentor in your life, today is a day to celebrate them! When we are younger, we often look up to these role models and see them as larger-than-life giants - all seeing and all knowing protectors and big decision makers. Sometimes we are intimidated by this idea of who they are and wonder if we will ever live up to their expectations. But, the truth is that they work incredibly hard to provide us with the opportunity for growth, balance and emotional support and can be intimidated by the huge responsibility they face in doing so. Today, shower your own Dad or Dad Person with love and make sure they know just how much you have learned from their guidance and support. Show gratitude for the many sacrifices they have made on your behalf. Recognize and remind them that their energy and guidance has become a part of who you are!

The Nine of Wands…
Feeling exhausted? Welp, you are almost there….just a few more steps to navigate to get to your goal. Take a breather here - you have been through a lot. But your weathered disposition is primed to ascend the last leg of this treacherous climb. It’s not going to be easy - those final strides are thorny and wild, but so is your spirit. And, just look at what is waiting up there for your ferocious heart - the moon. The moon is waning here, so by the time you reach it - a new moon will be ready to break through - glimmering magical hidden light all around your warrior disposition and filling your path with possibilities. If you have come this far, why turn back now? Use the toughness you’ve acquired to propel you forward. If anyone or thing tries to follow you to tear you down - give them a shove (if they even make it past the first stair. You are so close - don’t let anyone or anything get in your way. Go to your destiny - climb into the celestial promise of a fresh start.

Eight of Swords…
I feel like this card is stalking us. It just keeps repeating and I always stress the importance of repeat cards, so we must examine it closer. Last time this card wanted us to connect with our personal power. Have you done this? I will say, it feels like I try, but with all the sudden movement in life, it’s difficult to stay grounded. If you are suddenly trapped by thoughts - your own and the thoughts of others - how might you find your way out? This is the big question, I suppose. Reimagine yourself as a great Escape Artist - let your senses heighten, intensify your focus, slow your breath and concentrate. There is a way to slip away from this cage of expectations. You have the answer - you just need to connect with it. Are you actually trapped or do you have something bigger up your sleeve? Surprise yourself - surprise everyone.

The Devil - Reversed…
We are frequently nervous when the Devil appears in a reading, but sometimes it’s just a simple message to remind us not to give in to temptation. There are so many things that can tempt us away from being true to who we are - people, food, alcohol, drugs, netflix binge watching, social media, dark thoughts, self sabotage…the list can go on and on! Tonight take a minute before bed to recognize your most toxic everyday behavior. What are the things you do that suck away your time or cause you to lose sight of your goals? What are those little activities or people that you can’t shake that the experience in the moment feels so fun and good, but later you feel haunted by regret? It’s important to have awareness of these foils, because then if you choose to continue your indulgence - it is a choice. But, see if you can pin point the ones that you really want to get a handle on and then set yourself up with a game plan on how you might defeat them. Don’t give in - RESIST! You got this… (BTW, Pizza and Ice Cream are big ones for me…)

Queen of Swords - Reversed…
If you feel like you aren’t traveling in the right direction, it’s because you are not clearly communicating your expectations. You have a lot of power and a very ambitious vision, but if you don’t take the time to really think and plan your actions, you will drift in the wrong direction. You know what you want, so examine every angle of your desired outcome and be incredibly concise with anyone involved in steering you in the direction for success. Also, what obstacles might appear on your path? Figure them out in advance, because once you are moving forward there will be obstacles, but you can ready yourself for them. If you continue to force your power in this endeavor, you will only wind up further off-course. Instead, use your keen intellect and the undeniable strength of clear communication to redirect your goal. You are in charge, so set yourself straight!

The Eight of Wands…
I asked my cards how we can make our day magical and drew the 8 of Wands! It’s true, things are moving fast, but don’t sail through without absorbing the colors and dynamics of your day! When we are busy, it can be hard to stop and appreciate all that is happening moment by moment, but what bright and illuminating things pop out at you as you breeze through your agenda? These flavors that you taste, these glimmers of light, these glorious hues are where you can find that magic! Be grateful for the full spectrum of radiance that you experience, even as you glide through. Wonder in the shifting delight of every second, because each second is an experience! How are you reflected in all that is happening around you? Bring your own colors to all you do. You are the rainbow.

Four of Wands (Reversed) - Justice (Reversed) - Death/Rebirth…
I pulled three cards for a message about our week ahead from my Light Seer’s Deck and it’s a big week! It seems that a relationship that has helped us find joy, balance and stability is beginning to fade from our lives. It’s ok to let go of this - it just doesn’t hold the same importance it once did and our priorities are shifting. This becomes even clearer to us as we examine the heavy questions in our minds about what we truly value in this ever changing world. An element of who you want to be is not fitting within those past circumstances, as fun and rewarding as they were. They no longer serve you on your quest for newness and clarity. The truth is, you’ve been transforming for some time and the light of your renewed spirit is starting to peek out. Once revealed, there is no turning back. You will shed your old skin and anything unnecessary will fall away. As you shed, you will reveal a truer self to the world in surprising ways and this will enhance your life in a powerful manner!

Three of Cups…
A weekend challenge for you - think of three recent accomplishments you would like to celebrate, then gather your closest two friends to raise a glass with you! In fact, ask them what three achievements they might bring to the table to toast. Minor successes count (yes even ones like “I got out of bed early to get to the gym” or “I made it through that very long day”.) Sometimes we lose sight of our everyday triumphs. Recognizing all of the good you have done or brought to the world and honoring it can be a magical experience - especially with the help of friends. So, make that list, call on your pals, get gussied up and treat yourselves like the kings and queens you are. The power of three joining forces with the power of your own self celebration will definitely be a me-party to remember. If you do it and love it this time, set a date to revisit this every three weeks. Cheers!

The Eight of Swords…
It’s time for you to double down on your personal power. Frustration and fear seems the natural response when outside forces try to restrict your spirit, but this is actually a moment that the universe is gifting you to grow stronger. Instead of fighting and allowing your mind to be clouded with furious feelings, go inward and connect with all of the core elements that define who you are. These are the real reasons any person or thing might try to hold you back - they are intimidated by your strength and power and they will do anything to diminish it. This is your moment to fortify who you are, what you stand for and harness your own mental clarity in order to advance. It’s hard, uninvited work, but you will be transformed. The power of 8 is potent and you will not only weather this storm - you will master it.

Buy yourself something today - you deserve something shiny and new! But, buy something that inspires you in some way. Perhaps a book you can read on a topic you are dying to learn about? Or some tools you can use to craft something you need? Maybe a new class you can take? If you are a sporty soul, what equipment can you acquire to launch a new adventure? Find something that delights you on a path of expansion! Even something as simple and childlike as a coloring book and crayons might incite your creative spirit!
