Check in each day for a little bit of magic…
Card of the Day
The 10 of Wands…
So, you’ve been very busy - highly productive, actually! But, to get all of this done, you have accumulated so many commitments that you just feel overwhelmed. The burden of what is on your plate makes it too heavy to carry. And, this on a SUNDAY?!? Listen, you are so close to the finish line with what you have been working on - you deserve a break. Not just a break where you sit down and think about all of the things on your to-do list, but a full blown letting go of what is weighing you down. I know the idea of it fills you with anxiety, but you can totally do this - just for a day! In fact, if you allow yourself this momentary relief, it will refuel you and you will find yourself better equipped to face those challenges ahead as you leap this particular hurdle and complete what you have set out to do. So, STOP WORKING and get outside. Enjoy the day and all of the beauty it has to offer you. Do something unnecessary, but joyful. You earned it. And whatever is left on that list - can wait til tomorrow.

The Queen of Wands…
We all have that incredible person in our life - that nurtures our creative spirit by just being who they are, without even meaning to. They light up every room they walk into and take over with their charismatic and fiery energy. They think differently and they express themselves fully without the slightest concern of what others think. Their unique way of experiencing the world around them ignites envy and inspires others. People are drawn to them, where ever they go, but if you are beside them, you bet they will be bringing you along - directly into the magic, sharing every moment with just you. This majestic and otherworldly energy always changes you in ways you can’t even make sense of, but definitely for the better. Who is your queen? You are burning for a little bit of magic - so call to them, call on them or just call them. Let the painfully delicious flame of who they are become a part of your weekend. Set the world on fire, together!

The Nine of Swords…
Your mind is racing. Your heart is pounding. The thoughts are coming a mile a minute and you cannot keep them at bay. Anxiety, worry, doubt swirling around you in a flurry - like being caught in a blizzard of your mind. You cannot sleep at night. But, what if this wasn’t just your every-day worry? What if this was your mind actively working through the surface thoughts to get to a deeper message? Imagine the plight of a clairvoyant - all of that information coming and going at all hours of the day and night. But, they have the extrasensory ability to make sense of it - or distill it down to a cleaner communication. I’m not saying that you are clairvoyant, but why not approach this tornado of dizzying thoughts like you are? Instead of getting carried away by the storm - sharpen your senses and get to the heart of it with accuracy and understanding. You never know what the real, true message is that is waiting there for you til you welcome it by clearing a path…

Three of Swords - Reversed…
This card was pulled earlier in the day with the help of my dear friend, Zachary…but when we pulled it, it really felt like a card of the night. Oh, I just love a card of the night - when we get to take the delicious suggestion of the deck and carry it into the other world of our night time sojourn. What is the pain you are holding on to? We all have pain from past haunts that we insist on etching into our hearts, making it a part of who we are. BUT, it isn’t really a part of us - is it?!? We just can’t let go. Think about what you are holding onto that needs to be set free. Write it down in red ink on a small piece of paper just before bed. Clutch it in your hand and hold it to your heart as you drift off to sleep. In your journey to the dreamland, allow yourself to fly into the dark sky and don’t be surprised when you start to fall. Feel the wind all around you and your heart race accelerate as you descend. Pull out that sword that is lodged in your heart and watch as it takes shape, transforms into mad fire and flies away from you. As you fall away from that pain, let the lightness embrace you with euphoria. Relax as your free fall gently slows into a drift and when you hit the bottom, it will be the soft cushion of your bed. When you awake, if you have lost that piece of paper - good! If not, run to the window and hurl it out. You are done. That pain does not define you. That was someone else’s mistake.

Four of Wands…
In the dark fairytale of your life, where do you find color and light? Think back to a place and time when your passions where in alignment and you felt surrounded by lightness and joy. Perhaps this is a memory of a specific location on an exotic trip you once took? Or maybe this is a moment you recall spending a lazy day with a treasured friend? It could just be the feeling of being in your childhood bedroom or being surrounded by loved ones in celebration of a past success. Close your eyes and recall a safe and exhilarating space where you were both centered and free. Embrace the recollection of the very second you felt security meet endless possibility and the horizon appeared limitless. Know that this energy lives inside you now and it is yours when you need it most. The color and light will chase you wherever you find yourself - even into the darkest of caves.

The Empress…
This week has kicked off with some very powerfully, nurturing energy! From Strength to The Empress, you should feel a deep connection to the delicate nourishment of the world around you and also that world which lies within. It’s true - you have a universe inside of you that is bubbling up and longing to emerge. Let’s talk about creation - giving birth isn’t just for mothers. What can you bring into the world today that didn’t previously exist? What do you long to make, design, paint, write, build? What new idea is brewing that you can bring to light? What incredibly fulfilling connection can you make in the form of a new relationship or friendship? Take a moment today to connect with the divine light of the universe that shines in your heart and create something. Feel like you have nothing to generate? This moment of your day could be as simple as sitting down and writing a poem or a short story or taking a break to bake some cookies with your kids or friends…it can be small, but it should be done with the intention of cultivation and expressiveness. Explore the microcosm of planets that spin in your spirit. Honor your individuality by using it to bring a moment of light into existence. Abundance of living is yours to create. Make some magic.

Strength…
You are starting the week strong, with a resonant inner glow of vigor and fortitude. You know who you are, what you want and are absolutely resolute that you will succeed. But, you recognize that there is true power in the knowing: knowing that you are in alignment with the world around you, knowing that you radiate love within your determination, knowing that you are enough. You don’t have to force it - people will bend to your will, because they are drawn to your magnetism and self-assurance. Trust in the light you hold within and embrace all you meet with compassion. Share your magical rays of warmth and knowledge freely, but with purpose. You may feel like the universe has put you in its spotlight, but the spotlight emanates from your heart and projects a kind of magic on all around you. This feeling will both ground you and elevate you. You may be surprised to discover you carry it with you always.

The Ace of Pentacles…
This week ahead, you have the opportunity to make some changes that will enrich your life. I know that what you think you most need is money, but look a little deeper and take advantage of all of the lushness you currently have at your disposal. A few small enhancements to your surroundings could transform the way you feel. Use this week to take stock of your living environment, both inside and outside. How does this environment reflect the manner in which you dream of living? Does it at all? What beautiful and enchanting things do you possess with which you can transform your cave into a flourishing garden? What can you repurpose in your dwelling that will inspire you to blossom and grow? Do you need a cozy nook just for you? Have you explored your current neighborhood for all of its hidden, outdoor escapes? Is there a beautiful piece of art or cozy blanket hiding in the back of your closet that is calling to be displayed?Move the pieces of furniture around until it all fits in a way that resonates with the warmth you deserve. Repaint your canvas of living in the most radiant color and light of your heart. Buy yourself some fresh flowers and make an arrangement you will love to see when you have your morning coffee or tea. You don’t have to have money to transform the way you feel. And, if you feel abundant and grateful for the riches you can afford, the money will find you.

The Fool…
Life is short, my friends. And as we travel further into its trenches, the more complicated it can become. The major arcana illuminates this journey for us in a very vibrant way. We all have burdens, conflicts and trials. But, today throw all of the complexities of your current circumstances into the wind, because you deserve to feel free. Imagine you are at the start of everything, without a care in the world. Notice how the colors of the world around you reverberate and call to you with promise. Feel the glow of the celestial light that warms the skin with both protection and possibility. Don’t think or try to understand- just be. You deserve one day, at least, where you find yourself free of all that noise. Let it be this day. Lose all sense and understanding of obligation and become the fool. It is healthy to, every so often, choose freedom over wisdom. Remind yourself that you can, at any moment, experience life with fresh eyes and an open heart.

Three of Coins - Reversed…
Do you feel lately like everything you take action on in life is much more complicated than it needs to be? But, seriously…you work along side logical, industrious people who share likeminded goals, but every little thing is labored. Small inconveniences pop up at the last minute. Someone drops the ball and you or others are left to pick up the pieces. You can’t get the information you need to really move forward, but when you finally do, your deadline is yesterday? The list goes on and on of tiny frustrations that pile up into a giant wall in front of your target. This might be a moment to take a step back and analyze how you are communicating. Are you clear in what you want to be accomplished? Are you talking through all of the potential roadblocks and obstacles that might get in your way? Are you setting realistic expectations for yourself and others? Are you being fair in all dealings? It’s time to fine-tune your personal plan to accommodate the others that are involved. This weekend, spent some time charting it all out for yourself. What wrinkles can you smooth out in advance of your next steps? It really shouldn’t be this difficult, but you know that.

The Wheel of Fortune…
Your day may have started like a bouquet of fresh roses, but you have no idea what is coming your way! You will feel the world around you start to spin and who knows when it will stop. Scary? Maybe…but also exciting to see how this day evolves. Something is bound to catch you by surprise, so hold on as you spin. Those bits that fall away - are meant to - just let them go. Whatever kind of ride you are on, there is purpose and meaning, even if you can’t see it. Just hold on, and trust that you will be rewarded. Try to have fun, if you can - your action and reaction to the dizzying turn of events determines where you land. Happy Thursday!

A Three Card Message…
After a day of activity, it is easy to feel exhausted and exasperated. It’s true, things are really picking up pace and the speed of movement is both exciting and uncomfortable. Have you forgotten what it means to collaborate? Me too! But, the world around you is urging you to reconnect with that creative spirit to spark something new. At the heart of it all, don’t lose sight of the value in shared experience. Your relationships have the power to shine a sparkling light on who you are and how you choose to live in and move through this moment of time. Rely on those closest to you to heal and renew your spirit, so that you might better participate in your daily activities. If you had to pick two calming, caring people in your life whom you are close to that you might connect with tonight - who are those dazzling souls? If you can’t be close to them, is it possible to feel their restorative love by just knowing that somewhere under that starry sky or even above or in it they dwell. Allow even just the thought of them to ground you in the moment. You are protected. You are loved.

The Hierophant - Reversed…
You have always seen the world differently than others. Your unique understanding is vital, not only for your every day existence, but also for others that interact with you. It’s not always easy to be the one that understands a deeper meaning, sees more and acts and reacts within this vision. People will sometimes view you as defiant, when you are just inhabiting your own undeniable truth. Rather than give in to what is expected and accepted, you persist in your comprehension and remain strong willed in the face of adversity. You are not a follower, but you are also not a leader, though your mind, heart and voice are essential in every moment. Though you may find yourself frustrated, hold fast to your beliefs. Your distinctive way of interacting with the world you inhabit holds the keys to allowing others the freedom of looking beyond what is in front of them and rising above the surface.

The Page of Cups…
What feelings repeatedly pop up for you in your day to day life? Think about it and get curious about the why and how of it all. But, don’t judge them or yourself. See if you can step outside of the emotion to just examine what is really there. Is there opportunity presenting in this juicy cup? Or are there bitter challenges and obstacles swirling there for you to swallow? How might an obstacle or challenge become an opportunity? We all long to taste love and personal/professional growth, but first you must shift your perspective to see clearly what you have in hand. Have fun and indulge your explorative nature by stepping away from it to find true understanding. Treat each emotional upheaval or blunder as a new adventure to traverse. You could turn what seems like a poisonous potion into an elixir of life. Drink it in, my friend!

The Seven of Pentacles…
On the surface, this card indicates that your hard work is starting to pay off. Yay! But there is something under the surface here that needs to be addressed. Your progress is undeniable, but can you keep up at this pace? Should you? You may need a mental break to reassess where you stand. You have made progress and you should celebrate what you have been able to accomplish, but your sacrifice is undeniable. If you keep going at this momentum, you will reap the benefits, BUT maybe there’s something more to be explored that you haven’t seen or thought of yet because you are just too busy with work. This week, recognize that your goal might be easier achieved or differently accomplished - in a way that supports your own mental health and wellbeing. The hardest of work is done - you have laid a groundwork that will flourish. Take a pause, check in with your spirit, heart and mind. Redirect that determination in a way that benefits all the pieces of who you are and also promotes what you have to offer in a way that benefits others. You deserve to honor your efforts by living through them in a wholistic way.

The Ace of Swords - Reversed…
Ok…so, I have to be honest….this one is really hard for me to digest in the moment. But, the cards that want to be acknowledged are always the ones that come to the surface when you don’t want to deal with them. They will scream at you the message you understand, but do not want to accept. Tonight…grab on to the idea that for the opportunity you want to take, accept and see grow and expand, the timing is off -or something is just not right. Let it go, because deep down you know that it is just not meant to be. Sometimes the brain is right in thinking that you are not ready or not willing to take a chance on a new thing that is coming your way. But, that’s ok…not to be ready or able to fully embrace that opportunity is not a reflection on who you are…it’s maybe a reflection on where you are in this moment. Let it go - cast it out into the sky - release your mind from the mental hold of what you think you should be doing or where you think you should be. Tonight, when you sleep, drift out into the night sky with no real purpose. You are allowed to just float among the glittering stars. You are allowed to just….be. So, just be. Let go of all of those expectations…just float among the starry sky and feel free.

The Five of Cups…
Remember when you were little and something disastrous occurred because of your behavior? Maybe it was an accident or maybe you did it on purpose, but either way the result was devastating. Knowing you would have to take responsibility and face the consequences was always traumatic. The fear, the guilt, the shame, the doubt and the undeniable dread of having to come clean, when you just want to run and hide? When you look back now, it’s kind of funny just how inconsequential it all seems in retrospect. I once let an orange crayon melt on the seat of my parent’s new car and I couldn’t shake how miserable it made me on that family trip. Though, now, we all joke and tell funny stories about it. To be honest, if you ask me, that all grey interior was just screaming out for a pop of color!!! As children, as adults, as humans - sometimes we just mess up. To dwell on this and torment ourselves with “should have, would have , could have” is not useful. Don’t hold on to those feelings of shame - they can grow into some very toxic self harming thoughts and behavior. So, it’s broken - but you still have a lot going for you and so much more to come! Get your head outta your hands and wipe that look of fear off your face. Forgive yourself and join us in the land of imperfect potential. Later you will look back on this moment and chuckle as you retell the story to others. I promise….

Two of Wands…
Longing for something more? Connect to a zen-like contemplation by thinking beyond where you currently are. The world is a vast, open, glorious place and when you confine your way of thinking to your current spot, you are not seeing the full possibilities. So, take a step back, close your eyes and widen your gaze. Focus your imagination on a wider, more resplendent scope. The piece you are missing can be found further away - so expand your vision and listen to the distant wind. When you begin to see the far-reaching potential of what you have in front of you, your plan can get highly specific because you have the full scope. Partner with the core of who you are and what you want. If you can only see as far as the horizon, you aren’t yet looking with your heart.

The Seven of Wands…
Does life suddenly feel frantic - like you are being attacked at all angles by many elements? It’s unnerving to be overwhelmed and you think you have to defend yourself at every turn. But, you are in a great position to deal with all of the chaos being thrust upon you. You already have the upper hand. In the art of self defense, the first step is always to ground yourself. Getting both feet on the ground in a balanced position which will allow you to react with focus and specificity is your key to success. Once you find yourself in this place of strength, you are ready for anything and you may find that taking this stance is enough to ward off attackers. In order to react with power, you must connect to your center, breathe and assess the true situation. The reality may surprise you - the threat you feared can appear differently and you may not have to act at all…

The Star…
Tonight, before bed, go to your window or take a walk outside. Look into the sky and pick out a star. If you cannot see them through the clouds, know that they are there and try to connect to the radiance of a specific one that is hiding just out of sight. In this cool, distant glow there is a secret story of another time. In fact, it could be the star you have chosen doesn’t even exist in this particular moment. See if you can hear the whispering of it’s faded knowledge - what would this star want you to know or feel? I think it might tell you a tale of your own radiance in lives past and you would come to understand the longevity of your own spirit. Tonight when you dream, fly into the sky and touch that star. Allow the wind, as you travel toward the heavens, kiss your skin and fan out your hair. Feel how the cooling light of that star is actually your light. Dream of your own beauty as never ending and when you reach the height at which you can touch that star, make a wish, before you return from the sky. You may not remember that wish when you wake, but trust that the universe will hold it close. Sweet dreams!
