Check in each day for a little bit of magic…
Card of the Day
New Years Day Card…
Happy 2022! This year, tune into the phases of your life as if you were the Moon. Your energy levels ebb and flow - sometimes your light beams open and bright and sometimes you feel like you just want to hide in the shadows. It can become natural to fight against your given intensity levels to fulfill obligations and responsibilities. Life is a dizzying spin, after all, and we are all just trying to keep up with our planet as it circles. But, this year, embrace your own moon power and deeply connect with the rhythm of your own psyche. Harness your energy, by allowing the magic of your own changing energy to illuminate the ways it would like to. Let the moon, who follows you through your many faces, connect you to the deeper emotions and memories that embolden who you are. When you are most in darkness, use those moments to connect with strength to the power of your inner light. Dance under the moon whenever you need a reminder of your own circadian rhythm. Happy New Year!

Own your incandescent and unique energy and let it shine out into the world with no regrets. Cast a glow on the year ahead for yourself and all you encounter and do it with humility and authenticity. Shine on in 2022, my friends. Share your magic. Happy New Year!

The Four of Swords…
Free fall into 2022 with the idea that if you would like a balanced mind, you will have to make space for periods of rest, solitude and quiet. The overwhelm of day to day living in the time of Covid can feel like a battle, as we all well know. If you want to be prepared to face the moments of fight that are inevitable, you need to clear your mind and give your spirit opportunities to regenerate. If your mind calls to you for some peace and quiet, find it. If your heart needs to climb back into bed, do it. If you need time with healing friends, take it. Escapism will be key, but be incredibly mindful of how you escape and make sure it will truly create the space you need to restore. Also, do not underestimate the universe and the loving energy of spirit guides and past ancestors - they are watching over you at every turn, but there may be times when you really need to connect with them. Make it a priority by making room in your mind, heart and spirit for self. You can find moments of rest and retreat in the craziest of times - I promise!

The Six of Wands - Reversed…
As a message for the year ahead, the Reversed 6 of Wands is not exactly what I hoped for us, but let’s try to put this in perspective, shall we? In 2022, we may not get the recognition we long for or deserve for all of the hard work we put in, BUT that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate our own accomplishments. In fact, knowing in advance that a certain level of disappointment when it comes to acknowledgement and accolades is expected, will help us to prepare the spirit by looking internally for the rewards that will truly matter. No matter how much external appreciation is lacking, that doesn’t mean we didn’t bust our bones to get the work done and execute it with flying colors. If we are being completely honest with ourselves, true fulfillment comes from within anyway. So, let’s make a pact to applaud every little step of our own progress and full on throw a party when we exceed our own expectations - and we will, my magical friends, we WILL.

The Three of Coins…
For me, the cards I pull between Christmas and New Years are little clues on how to move forward in the New Year ahead. It’s time for us to start planning on making use of our most unique talents this year! What interest or skill do you especially love? What is it that you know or do that thrills you? Though, you may or may not see this as something you can capitalize on - start thinking of ways you can bring this personal fascination to the forefront. The activities or hobbies that captiviate you, might hold potential for return, if you pursue them with zeal. You’d be surprised how something you are passionate about that seems quite small could grow into a full blown money maker! If not money, the enhancement of these fancies can increase your personal intrigue in a way that brings rewards and accolades. Because you have great enthusiasm for this particular evocation, it won’t be hard to motivate yourself in this direction, so find out just how far you can take it. If you already have something of this nature cooking - dial up the heat and see if you can supercharge the growth. You will be surprised just how much this tiny interest can reward you this year!

The Eight of Cups…
As we head into a new year, it’s a good idea to take a hard look at all the areas of your life in which you find yourself emotionally complacent. If indolence and empty acceptance are your default regarding people, situations and practices that you engage in, perhaps it’s time to shake things up. When you think about it, life is fleeting, so why continue to engage in something or someone that doesn’t help you advance in a joyful or exciting way? Sit down today and think long and hard about those elements you simply adhere to and see the many ways in which you might shake them up in the new year. Get your feet wet by changing the way you approach your own indifference. If you splash around in all of that listlessness, a clear message on how you should change may rise to the surface of that mud-puddle you have created for yourself. Ditch apathy and resignation. This new year embrace action, defiance, exploration and inspiration!

Give yourself a few moments today to notice the color and light that dance around you wherever you are. Take advantage of the elements of the natural world that are available to you and reflect upon the mysteries of our world. When you open yourself to experiencing the wonder that is always available but seldom appreciated, the universe becomes a lush secret that is revealed in small, secret whisperings just for you. The reality of your life is so much more than you think it to be. So, become the explorer that is ready to adventure toward experiencing the multidimensional life you deserve. Walk hand in hand with Empress - she is your guide and she gifts you nothing but love.

The Wheel of Fortune…
Spreading a little holiday cheer with a friendly reminder… Life has its ups and downs and sometimes you find yourself on top of the world and other times spinning in dizzy confusion. But, though those sudden moments of craziness can feel overwhelming - when you rip open the wrapping, they might surprise you by being the most magical gift of all. It’s funny how the things we most need come to us in unexpected ways. Wherever you find yourself on the wheel of life on this Christmas Day, I hope you can recognize that everyday is a gift. Keep tearing into that paper and opening those boxes, friends. You never know what joy and delight is hiding if you dig deep inside! Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays and stay forever gifted.

The Queen of Cups…
Joy to the world and YOU are the joy! Your radiant presence will inspire and delight loved ones near and far, so glam it up, my friends. But, the glam is just an outer trimming of what is bubbling underneath the surface - your inner spark of love and thoughtfulness is the main event at any gathering or even just over the phone. Your light is undeniable and you care so much. You care about how others experience this season and you are determined to find all the magic of each moment that is available. What an inspiring, colorful energy you bring to all you encounter, while also putting anxious minds and hearts at ease. It’s your calling this year - embrace the power of your own good intentions, feel and share the wonder of your zest for living fully and let it all follow you into the New Year, you Queen!

The Four of Wands…
So many wands this week and a repeat visit of our friend, The Four Of Wands. Wands are fire and fire is symbolic of the infinite celebration that resonates at this time of year - the candles on a menorah, the yule log, the light of a lantern on a dark winter’s night. These are flames that burn despite the odds and bring hope, joy and peace to those who need it most. The glow of a flame can light the way through the dark and the warmth of blaze can sustain us in the cold. On the eve of Christmas Eve, celebrate all of the things that bring you light and warmth in your life. How do your own fiery passions help you to find the balance you need to truly thrive in the world? Share your inner warmth and light with loved ones over the next few days of gathering. And if you cannot be with friends or family, because of circumstances out of your control, light a candle and feel the eternal flame of their love surround you. There is an undeniable foundation of support and light for all of us to dance within.

The Ten of Wands…
It’s only the middle of the week and it feels like we have been climbing this mountain for a long, long time. But, the sun will soon set on the burdens we carry and we will be able to start fresh. Perhaps this is hard to recognize right now, with all the “covid meets holiday season chaos” that is swirling about us, but we are moving so close to the finish line. Just keep going, friends. Despite how tired you feel and how much steeper the climb, you must move forward through the rough terrain. You carry with you so much that you have to protect, but once we are through this, we will all be able to set down those heavy responsibilities and feel free once again. Follow that setting sun. A new one will rise and it will bring better times.

The Four of Spirals (Wands)…
As you quietly unfurl into the realm of sleep tonight, imagine you are journeying through a pine tree dotted forrest that is blanketed in snow. The chill in the air and the purple glow on the horizon draws you into a small area that is sheltered enough to be shielded from the show. There is a small cottage that calls to you - it’s tiny chimney expelling small puffs of smoke and the smell of the burning kindling fills your senses with memories of fond winters. When you enter this tiny dwelling, you feel comforted and protected, but also energized and inspired. You find a seat on a well-worn, but cushy couch in front of the cozy fire. A magically delicious tea or hot cocoa appears on the small table before you and you know it’s safe to drink. The first sip fills your body with warmth - the kind of warmth that instills a sense of balance and well-being in you and fills you with the promise of safety, security and joy. You will have to leave this cottage and come back to your room eventually, but how can you hold on to what you have experienced here? Is it enough to know that this safe-haven lives within your psyche and it is with you where ever you go? Balance and comfort are a part of who you are. Invite yourself into their welcoming embrace whenever you truly need it.

The Strength Card…
For some it’s hard to imagine that kindness conquers all, but it does. For most of my life, I was told by others that kindness is weakness and to be good means you will be taken advantage of. Also, I’m sure a lot of you have heard this one, “You must be cut-throat to get what you want or get ahead.” But, are you truly getting what you want if you have to darken who you are to get there? Compassion is strength and true intentions can also propel you in a direction of success. Today, connect with your inner well-spring of greatheartedness and approach everything you undertake with magnanimity and I think you will feel the real strength that you hold within. Warmth, understanding and benevolence can help you move mountains or launch new paths toward great accomplishment. And, when you look back on how you arrived in that moment of fulfilling completion, you will feel open, full of joy and unencumbered by regret. Let the true light of your own inner strength guide you today and everyday.

The Moon…
Hey little monster, embrace the darker side of your light. Who says you have to be all sunshine and rainbows during the holiday season?!? The winter sky is cold and calculating which only enhances the dark shine of the moon. The pieces of self that you keep hidden in the shadows deserve a little attention. In fact, they may been the missing ingredient that you didn’t know you needed. Tonight, as you close your eyes, imagine your whole being is entering the dark chamber where you lock away those bits of you. Spend some time here, as you slumber, and make friends with all of them. Which is the most useful to you? Figure it out and invite them back into your waking life. When you awake in the morning, welcome them back into your heart and see how they change your day or even the season!

The Star…
I didn’t pull this card. I picked it as a kind of talisman for us all. Yes - we need this. With rising covid cases just in time to put a damper on our holiday gatherings, I think we are all feeling on edge and perhaps a bit sad that we find ourselves back in this situation. For those of you who are currently sick and fighting this virus, I send, with this card, healing energy to support your recovery. For those of you feeling stress and sadness, I send, with this card, love and light so that you truly know you are not alone. We have weathered so many storms over the past few years and we will get through this sudden wave. Take a moment today to restore your spirit by reaching out to a loved one or reflecting on the strength and light you carry within by reminding yourself that you have already survived so much. I hope this image and my love resonate in a way that comforts you and yours!

The Four of Pentacles into The Queen of Pentacles - Reversed…
You are being so controlled, so balanced…so good. But, your puritanical ways of protecting what you have are getting the side eye from your inner-Queen. Let’s face it - the glamorous, luxurious, self-celebrating side of you is trying to emerge and she has HAD it with your restraint and carefulness. This weekend, when you are shopping for others, if you see something you truly desire for yourself - BUY IT. If you are out and about at holiday gatherings and feel you shouldn’t have another glass - let the wine flow and raise your glass in defiance. Got something on your mind that you want to get off your chest - express it with glee. It’s all about self-love, self-adulation, self-celebration and indulgence this weekend. Throw caution to the wind, shake up your foundation and let your inner god or goddess reign supreme. You deserve it and, frankly, you need it. Live in the luxury you know you desire!

The Seven of Cups…
This gem of a card keeps popping up for us this week it’s truly a complicated message. During the holiday season, there are so many choices to make - presents, social gatherings, food, drinks, friends, family etc. And, having so many possibilities can be both thrilling and daunting. How can you truly know what you need and want in each changing moment? Your choices are metaphorically gift-wrapped. You won’t truly know what to expect until you tear into that paper, pop them open and really experience what is waiting there for you. Prepare yourself for surprises that dazzle and some that disappoint. You are vibrant and can be sensitive to the chaos all around you. Mentally and emotionally ready yourself for what ever might be waiting for you once you have chosen which one to open. And, there will be MANY gift boxes to open this year! Approach them all with gratitude, but skepticism and practice your pokerface.

The Seven of Cups into The High Priestess…
You have worked so hard to change the direction in your life and now there are so many options for you to explore! Still can’t see them all? Shake up your internal compass and let all of your possibilities dance around you in vivid but soft delight. If you don’t see them, close your eyes and feel the magic of that potential swirl with promise around you like a cool blanket - protecting you, but heightening your awareness. Trust that you know the right way and listen to the loving voice of the universe whisper its encouragement. You have full comprehension that you asked for potential to materialize. You have already put in hard work to help bring this potential to fruition. You cannot walk away from it now, but you must make a choice and, though you are stalling, you already know what you want to choose. So, dance in the quiet comfort of the newness of your life and elevate yourself based on the power you hold within. Make magic - make a blizzard of magic!

The Four of Cups…
I think the quote says it all. Are you ACTUALLY bored right now, or just giving in to a general haze of discontent that has been engulfing you? Sometimes when we are not experiencing fulfillment, we decide to be dismissive and dismayed with everything in our lives. Suddenly, we find we are participating in a self-defense mechanism in which NOTHING excites us and we cannot see or connect to anything being offered or presented. Our focus is singular and we are focusing on our own disappointment. If you are giving in to your own lethargy and melancholy - take a good long look into the reasons why. Does happiness, excitement and newness scare you? I have nothing to say except SNAP OUT OF IT. Nobody likes a Negative Nelly. Remember the SNL ski - Debby Downer? Yes - that is you right now. The world is not creating this for you - you are bringing this upon yourself. See if you can get just excited enough to see that opportunity for change is there. And then, change it all - starting with your attitude!

The Page of Swords…
As a card for the week ahead, there is so MUCH to absorb! Lately you may have felt a thirst for knowledge - so take a hold of the teachings that are being offered to you and start to sharpen your mind. Perhaps there is something very specific that you know you need to learn more about to advance on a project for work. Maybe it’s it’s just a general yearning to grow and expand in a direction of greater understanding about life. Either way, it is time to raise your feathers and fill your mind with information. Take a class - read a book - do some research on the internet, or just heighten all of your senses to experience life in a new way and see what hidden knowledge emerges for you. Take notes and let yourself feel studious. Be the biggest nerd you can as you feel that brain full of new, thrilling ideas and information. You know that knowledge can be so powerful. Sharpen your mind for your own personal fulfillment, but also so, if you have to, you can and will be able to use it as weapon.
