There is a big, beautiful, glorious planet full of people and experiences out there to be seen, felt and discovered. You may THINK you are under attack and feel burdened. You may THINK you are alone. But this is a prison you have created for yourself. Expand your view and open your eyes wider and you will see how singular your thinking has become and just how much it is holding you back. So, because of my crazy day we have our first “Card of the Night” and it’s a Knight - how ironic. Think of this as a card to dream on…If you were to meet an Angel in your dreams who would that Angel be and what would they say to you? Ask yourself this just before nodding off tonight and ask to meet your own personal angel and then delight in what your subconscious brings to the surface. In your waking life, is there an element of you that needs saving? Could you benefit from a cleansing and impassioned emotional connection? Perhaps your restless soul needs a little bit of redemption? Ask for all the things you truly desire to visit you in your dreams and then be open to accepting the message that comes to you. In darkness there is light. Cast a Spell Friday - A wish for you on 9/11

This day can be quite difficult. As a New Yorker who experienced 9/11, every year the memories of that day surface in new ways on the anniversary. Even if you aren’t a New Yorker, the grief and trauma we all felt as a country is palpable and never fully dissipates. Today my wish for you is to cleanse the spirit of that devastation, harness the renewal of your emotional strength and find a way to project that love out into the world. Surround yourself with family, friends and community (even if it’s just via Zoom) and don’t for a second take for granted this beautiful life we all share. Be grateful for every person you encounter and every second of the day. The Star is the first card after The Tower in the deck and in the days after 9/11, I’ve never seen such strong, loving and determined community in NYC - The Stars were there the whole time. Shine your healing light over the world. Share and experience love.

I definitely understand that the momentary sense of completion as you check things off your list can feel motivating, however you could be missing so much. In our crazy culture of multitasking, we sometimes lose sight of our ultimate destination.  Take a moment and get a better sense of what your project truly requires. Then, stay on track by slowing down and taking your time with each piece of work you put into it. Ultimately, this will be a better and more fulfilling way to work toward your goals!

It’s taken me a while to post this, because I have had so many beautiful distractions today, so my apologies…but she has literally been following me around every where I ventured on this day! Another day - another reversal. Things are starting to feel topsy-turvy…doors are opening, doors are shutting and there is a new energy emerging with the new season. Change is coming are you going to jump on the ride and let it spin you around? Recognizing that the next few months will bring highs and lows and all kinds of twists and turns as we navigate our way back into our lives is going to help you digest what is coming. We will all have to contend with the election, too! So much at stake - personally, culturally, economically. Wow. But, keep in mind, we are all on this Ferris Wheel together. Enjoy a little solace and relaxation this last holiday weekend of summer, but also take a moment to steady yourself for what is to come. Life is a fun, scary and beautiful ride, so buckle up and be grateful for view when you hit the top.

Hmmm…all these reversals could mean a real shift in energy with this new season approaching. As things become busier, we may need a period of time to adjust! But, let’s talk about Self Love. You know the saying “To love another person, you must first love yourself?” I’ve recently started to think that this might be a bag of garbage. Seriously! If you are only working on loving yourself because you want to be with another person, doesn’t this seem a bit contradictory? Also, this person you love - do they love you ONLY if you love yourself or do they love you for all of your beautiful imperfections and insecurities? Seeing this card reversed would encourage self compassion, self understanding and self awareness. You may find these things BY loving another person, despite where your head and heart are in the moment. You can also find these things on your own or through connections with family, friends and community. Strive to KNOW yourself - the love is just there.

Reversals can be hard, my friends. When I pulled this earlier today, I didn’t realize how potent this energy was to become for me today! Wow. Things may feel out of whack - extra difficult - incredibly trying, but, sometimes, you just have to sift through it all to level up. As you are fighting your way through the discord, recognize that an actual fight might be necessary to restore the balance you need and deserve. Sometimes, you just have to recognize that there is no “easy” way and throw yourself against the waves, so you can get out there and swim! And, that’s ok…just do it!
